Our History
RedArts has a long and vibrant history of championing creativity and community spirit.
The Redlands Arts Council has been a cornerstone of the arts community in Redlands for many years, fostering connection, culture, and celebration through the arts. Since its inception, this organization has been instrumental in shaping the cultural landscape of the region, contributing to the establishment of the Redland Art Gallery and supporting the development of the Redland Performing Arts Centre. Over the decades, RedArts has united people through various music events in Australia, festivals, concerts, workshops, and exhibitions, including a seniors’ photographic showcase honoring the early pioneers of Redlands. Signature events like the Light Art Festival, the Ukulele Festivals, and 'Classics Close Up' have become cherished highlights on the local calendar, alongside initiatives such as Art by the Boardwalk and youth art grants that promote emerging talent. Through collaboration with schools, artists, and community groups, Redlands Arts Australia continues to nurture creativity and preserve the region's rich artistic heritage, ensuring the spirit of local arts thrives for generations to come.
